About the founder

Rares Comanescu

Creative Director / Video Producer

Rares Comanescu is a creative director and video producer with a background in high-level TV production. Between 2016 and 2023, he worked on major shows such as X Factor, iUmor, Insula Iubirii, and Chefi la Cuțite, gaining experience in fast-paced, large-scale production environments where attention to detail and timing are essential. Over time, he has collaborated with brands such as Samsung, BCR, Knorr, Under Armour, and Mace by Joseph Hadad, as well as artists like Puya, Connect-R, Alex Velea, Andra, Sișu Tudor, and Cedry2k — building a diverse portfolio across both commercial and music projects. This mix of experience shaped his approach to every project today: clear direction, strong visuals, and storytelling that feels real. Through Rare Species, he focuses on creating cinematic content for brands and artists — from concept and creative direction to production and final delivery.
